In the midst of a stormy Perth winter I was invited to a trip up to Jurien Bay and fish one of WA’s best kept secrets with a skipper who is second to no one, this man is known as ‘Whitey’. I accepted this trip without a Earlier this year I was lucky enough to be invited on a 4 night, “do it yourself” fishing adventure to the Abrolhos Islands. The plan was to try our hand at the fantastic range of Northern and Southern Demersales, all in the one location; Dhufish, Snapper, Coral Trout, Spangled Emperor, by Sam Colvin
Anyone that has fished Exmouth will know how unfishable a Northerly is, we had a solid, fishless month of them. I was due a break in the weather, and I had some new McArthy Baits to trial! When we finally got out break in the weather, I launched by Luke Ryan
I had the pleasure of testing out a new range of soft plastic lures called McArthy soft baits; I had a range of styles colours and sizes to try. I’ve been very impressed with the quality of the lures and have definitely noticed an increase in the amount I just got back from hot, spur of the moment night session using the new McArthy Baits finesse minnows.
